Serving up a plant-forward, locally sourced menu with a side of nutrition education and a smile (until Sunday, August 25th, 2024).  

For us, it’s all about the food—its origin, taste, and nutrition.  We are proud to be an extension of Nourse Farm, a 300-year-old family business in Westborough, MA that produces a variety of food for its community. We know that when plants serve as the foundation for food choices, our bodies and our environment benefit.  We believe that when you’re better connected to your food, and familiar with its origin and cultivation, you’re more inclined to eat it. Also, we recognize that when you eat locally sourced food, it tastes better, contains more nutrients, and supports the local economy. That’s why Veg Out @ Nourse Farm is committed to a plant-forward, locally sourced menu served with a side of nutrition education prepared by thoughtful individuals who care about helping you and our planet. To help folks eat for person and planet health through food, facts, and fun.  

Eating a local, plant-forward menu is definitely a means to attain person and planet health. Understanding why it’s important and having some fun while doing it are others.  Veg Out @ Nourse Farm effectively uses agricultural and nutritional science to thoughtfully develop our menu and link it to our educational activities. We believe the integration of these elements infused with a bit of humor are ways in which everyone can nourish the body, sustain the planet and achieve exceptional health outcomes.

We value the interconnectedness of agriculture, nutrition, food preparation and community by serving our customers with kindness, quality, and whimsy.   

Agriculture is the science of farming, growing and cultivating food.  We appreciate the farmers who grow the food with the intent to nourish, not simply feed, people.

Nutrition is the science of nutrients and their role in growth, healing and maintenance of living things.  We appreciate the dietitians/nutritionists who share the knowledge about the food and its nutrients with the intent to nurture, not only educate, people.  

Food preparation involves the steps that occur between obtaining raw ingredients and eating them as food.  We appreciate that it’s universal, an act we all perform, though sometimes, we might want someone else to do it (and the dishes).  

Community is where the people connect over food.  We appreciate that the community comes together to eat their food, learn about its nutrition and enjoy the experience, maybe even to Veg Out @ Nourse Farm.
